Noudimme Pirkon 12 viikon ikäisenä Sveitsistä, Andreen ja Gerardin hellästä huomasta. Pirkko on hurmaaja, nojaaja, nappisilmä, piiperö. Meidän kaunotar.
Tokon alkeita on harjoiteltu ja harjoittelun lomassa käyty muutamissa kisoissa (SM-joukkue ja piirimestaruus). Haaveeni treenata kesällä -07 pentujen hoidon ohessa, ei todellakaan toteutunut.
Pirkolla on loistava kontakti ja perusasento. Muu onkin sitten harjoittelun puutetta.
Pirkossa on myöskin pikku hamsterin vikaa, puruluut kerätään pikinmiten omaan talteen - omalle pedille. Niiden päällä onkin sitten mukava maata ja herkutella. Loukkaantuneena katsoo kun "ylimääräiset" luut otetaan pois.
Hakumetsään olemme muutaman kerran päässeet. Verijälki saa silmät tuikkimaan ja kaatona olevat hirven jalat ovat jättikivoja.
Pirkko on luontainen halikoira, keikoilla emme ole juurikaan kerenneet käymään. Minun työ aikani tuppaa hieman rajoittamaan. Ehkäpä jonakin päivänä vielä…
Vetokurssi on käyty (no hieman huonosti) mutta uskon että vetohomma ei tuota ongelmia.
Pirkolle suunnitteilla pentuja vuodelle 2010!
Uroskin on jo katsottuna.

Hobbies : Obedience , Search and rescue training
When Pirkko was 12 weeks old we collected her from Switzerland, from the tender and loving care of Andree and Gerard. Pirkko is a charmer, a leaner, a button-eyed little girl. Our beauty.
We have been practising the basics of obedience whilst also taking part in some matches (national team and regional championships). My hopes of training in the summer of 2007 alongside having a litter of puppies in the house did not turn out to be realistic at all.
Pirkko has excellent contact and basic posture. All the rest is down to lack of practise.
Pirkko is also somewhat of a hamster as she is quick to gather chew toys for safe-keeping on her bed. They make a comfy surface for lazing on whilst feasting on her treats. She gives us a very hurt look when we take away the ”extra” bones.
We have had a few chances to try tracking in the woods. A track of blood makes Pirkko’s eyes light up and she thinks the elk legs we’ve used as the kill are absolutely superb.
Pirkko is a natural born therapy dog yet we have not had the time to throw too many gigs. My working hours are rather restrictive. One day, perhaps…
Pirkko passed the sledge pulling course (although a bit poorly) but I don’t believe Pirkko will have any problems pulling.
Puppies planned for Pirkko!
