Harrastukset: Toko, haku, veto ja haliberneily
Sylvi haettiin 10 viikkoisena Sveitsistä, Hospice du Grand St.Bernardista (siis SIELTÄ luostarista). Koirakansalaisuus oppia Pääkaupunkiseudun sveitsinpaimenkoirien koirakoulusta. Hakuharrastus (rullalla ilmaiseva) ja tottelevaisuuskoulutus ovat Sylville mieluista puuhaa. Alokasluokkaa harrasteltiin 13:sta kisan verran joten tulihan se lopulta se koulutustunnuskin. Ohjaajan jännitys ja koiran keskeneräinen koulutus lienevät suurin syy tähän kisa määrään. Sylvi on ainakin loistava Harrastuskoira, olisi pitänyt aloittaa kisaaminen vain hieman aikaisemmin kuin reilu neljävuotiaana. Lastenvedoissa ja ulkotapahtumissa halikoirana. Koiratanssi rytmi on veressä, aika vain ei riitä kaikkeen. Etelä-eurooppalainen temperamentti löytynee Sylvista . Sylvin kuulo on hieman heikentynyt joten tokoilusta olemme jo eläkkeellä. Harrastelemme kuitenkin omaksi ja Sylvin iloksi käsimerkein.
Olit kaikkeni, rakas myskintuoksuinen tyttöni.

Hobbies : Obedience , search and rescue training, therapy dog , “sledge dog” Sylvi was 10 weeks old when she was collected from Switzerland, from Hospice du Grand St.Bernard (THE monastery). She gained her dog nationality training in the greater Helsinki area Swiss Mountain and Cattle Dog Club dog school. Sylvi enjoys search and rescue training (with a tug toy) as well as obedience training. We went to a total of 13 novice class matches and finally got the degree. My nervousness and Sylvi’s unfinished training were probably the biggest reasons for it taking so many tries. If anything, Sylvi is an excellent hobby dog – if only we had started competing a little earlier than at over the age of four. Sylvi pulls children in sledges and serves as a therapy dog in outdoor events. She also has the musical canine freestyle rhythm in her blood but there is just not enough time for everything. Sylvi has a Southern European temperament. Her hearing has got slightly weaker and thus we have retired from obedience training. Yet for both our own joy as well as Sylvi’s we carry on the hobby using hand signals.
Our beloved Sylvi is an angel dog now.
